Antibacterial Activity of Stachys sylvatica Against Some Human Eye Pathogens

The ethanol extracts obtained from the leaves of Stachys sylvatica L. (Lamiaceae) were evaluated for their antibacterial activity against some human eye pathogens by disc diffusion method hospital isolates Bacillus cereus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus capitis, aureus, epidermidis, Moraxella nonliquefaciens and Cutibacterium acnes. Besides, Penicillin, Ampicillin Tobramycin as antibiotics used a positive reference standard to determine sensitivity isolates. showed potential effect acnes, with inhibition zones 22.4 mm, 21.6 mm 20.2 respectively. also exhibited moderate other bacterial plant may be useful in treatment infections.
